There Can Still Be a Few More, Apparently

?That unnecessary Highlander remake/reboot? It is go, according to production company Summit Entertainment. The actual news is that they’ve hired Justin Lin — the auteur behind Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift — and the Iron Man screenwriters Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, which should help things considerably, if this thing actually gets made. On that topic, it surely helps that Summit isn’t the same crew who have been dicking around with the Highlander franchise for the last 20+ years, and since they’re the ones doing the Twilight movies, they assumably have a million bajillion dollars to blow.

So odds are this thing will happen. Hey, maybe the French Christopher Lambert can play the Spanish Ramirez this time around. It’d have to be easier for him than a Scottish MacLeod, right? (Via /Film)
