Two Zelda posts in a row? We do it to piss off a certain reader who says we spend too much time writing about Nintendo. He knows who he is.

No, we're actually writing about Zelda twice today because we discovered two Zelda-related things that are awesome. Remember the awful, awful awful Zelda cartoon (seriously, it's awful)? We'll it suddenly becomes great - and very, very dirty - with a few key bleeps.

Check out the censored Zelda cartoon below!

Games like Angry Birds have been around long before Angry Birds was conceived. However, none of those games featured those angry freaking birds flying straight into pigs with those addicting sound effects and the satisfaction of watching the swine die.

These elements are what makes a gamer become a gamer. And, in the video after the jump, we have  a child watching Angry Birds on an iPad. In this moment, he grows up and learns the joy of play right before our eyes. Check it out after the jump.

General Electric Discovers Minecraft

We've all seen a bunch of Minecraft creation videos at this point, but this is the first time I recall seeing an officially sponsored Minecraft video. GE, through it's "GE Show" YouTube channel, has released a Minecraft video highlighting its signature piece of real estate, the Edison Memorial Tower. Corporate advertising to be sure, but still a cool vid and a pretty elaborate creation. Check it out below.

Halo Anniversary: Behind The Scenes

Get classic.
It may be a re-release of the original game, but we're still expecting big things from Halo: Anniversary when it releases later this year. After all, it's not just an HD port. Well, okay, it is. But it's an HD port with online co-op, Kinect voice command support, skull modifiers and 3D. That's a heck of a lot of upgraded material for a $40 game.

Obviously, a lot of work went into updating Halo, and you can get a lot of info on the process in the video below. Even if you're not planning to pick up the game, it's still a fascinating look at how a team approaches the re-release of a beloved game.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Trailers Show Off Gallons of Gameplay

Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 3:00 pm
zelda-skyward-sword-fight.jpg
This probably isn't the first time you've heard this, but there's a new Zelda game coming out in a month. Additionally, most Zelda games have areas filled with (mostly) clever puzzles and (always) charming music. The following trailers have both (I guess, but I mostly like writing things in parenthesis).

The two trailers show off two areas in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword: The Ancient Cistern and Lake Floria. Both look like perfectly serviceable areas in a Zelda game. And, after 25 years of playing Zelda areas, we clearly could do with more levels that take place in lakes. Check both videos out after the jump.

Just because Prototype 2 doesn't launch until sometime in 2012 doesn't mean we can't start getting excited for our next brush with god-like powers here and now.

Goldtooth Creative recently visited the New York Comic-Con, bringing with it a brand new cinematic trailer showing off lots of beautiful carnage from the upcoming game, which is being developed by Radical Entertainment.

Check out the new trailer after the break.

Sonic Generations "Bosses Trailer" Shows Off the, um, Bosses

Eggman's bringing friends.
Not all the bad guys in Sonic Generations are going to be puny mechanized fish or spikey beetle things. The Sonic games have always had some pretty fantastic bosses, and Generations is going to give you the chance to take on some of the best all over again.

The menacing meanies of Sonic Generations have received their own promotional video, which can be seen as the "Bosses Trailer" following the break.
