A little background, then off to the contest! Slacker offers three kinds of subscription packages: first is the free one, which gives listeners access to a giant library of music. Only downside is the ads. You have to listen to them

Then, you have Slacker Radio Plus, which is $4 a month, which gives you ad-free radio, including ABC & ESPN Radio, with comprehensive lyrics and unlimited song-skips. Top tier, which is what we're giving away, is Premium -- which gives you total access to the whole library, and allows you to select specific songs, artists, and albums without the radio selecting. On to the contest!

What Class Are Your Playing In Diablo III?

Okay, so that day is upon us. It is Diablo 3 release day. Did you think you'd ever hear that? I did once StarCraft 2 finally up and released, but even still it was hard to conceptualize.

We've been waiting like a decade for this monster to drop, and the last year and a half has had IV drip of trailers, betas, demos, and screen shots to get the eager fan base buzzing. And with the edition of a few new character classes, the game has a new spin of appeal to those who delight in a sophisticated, diverse class system.

So who do you intend on going to penetrate Hell with? The new Witch Doctor? The Monk? How about the Barbarian, like me? Yeah I know it's safe but Leap is the most best.

What Are You Playing This Weekend, Foos?

Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:41 pm
Hi people. Last week I was too hung over to remember to put this thing as a thing, so I am doing it right now. So what are you playing? Are you playing Fez? Because that's what I'm playing. I will be releasing a very challenging review on Monday morning. I hope you are looking forward to it. I love writing indie game reviews.

Anyway, Fez is it. That's my bread and butter until I can churn (eh?) out this review. Maybe some Madden if I can break away from the bit indie madness. Actually, psych, I'll be playing NCAA Football 2012 because I just got recruited by my top choice school in Road to Glory. Basically, if you don't play sports games, that's like being invited into the Assassin's Guild in Morrowind. And since I yawn at RPGs, EA Sports Road to Glory mode is the only progressive character building game I can enjoy.

And it fuckin' rules. Jam to that song, I got it special for you.

Can a Mad Men Game Exist Beyond 8 Bits?

Monday, April 2, 2012 at 3:00 pm
Straight bullshitter. Always chasing.
It's no trade secret that the choose-your-own-adventure, meta-awesome Mad Men: The Game hit YouTube two weeks ago, thanks to Fine Brothers Productions. I suspect you've played it, had a few laughs and went back to your Old Fashioneds and regularly scheduled gaming. I just played it. I guess I was napping through gaming news when it debuted. Or maybe I was too focused on the show's season premiere. And whiskey.

Anyway, post-Walking Dead, I'm all about Mad Men Sundays. Mad Men: The Game is a great bonus, but it has me thinking about Mad Men's potential beyond the world of 8 bits. What do you think? I'm envisioning a robust point-and-click game centering on a budding exec or copywriter at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, where each decision (and drink) has a ripple effect on the company's narrative. Give me some ideas and I'll steal them for a longer article. I won't give you credit either.

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Guys, last night I played a lot of Bastion. I intend on doing that again for many hours this weekend. Why, James, when Mass Effect 3 is out and you haven't beaten it?

Because I don't like RPGs at all, and Bastion's New Game+ mode allows me to zero in on the main focus of the game -- and that's the narrative section. Plus, I heard something about the end of Mass Effect 3 being a little disappointing or something. Anyway.

What are you playing? Anything I should be aware of?

Also, listen to that song because it is so catchy!

Are You Playing The Hunger Games?

Monday, March 26, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Always one who's suspicious of seeing movie tie-ins before reading the source material, I JUST started reading The Hunger Games last night, giving in to my friend's pleas to give it a try. I suspect I'll see the film when I comes out on the Blu-Rays.

We know the book and the film have destroyed sales lists, but what about the iOS game, The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire? Is it worth playing?

Get it here.

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

This weekend I will be working. Over the whole weekend. And not for this site. For my big boy job. And I will be sad about that. However I do not want you to be. I want you to bust out your console and jam to your favorite games with your best friends. Because the weekends are fun winners like you, not for shmucks like me.

And I want you to tell me what you intend on playing. If it is Mass Effect, just scribble bunch of words like this: "adkljawe;lgkjas;dglakwrgh" into the comments section. If not, please legibly write (<--split infinitive) what game you are enjoying at the moment, and what I should be playing when I am not breaking my back for the man. And listen to this song, it is especially to get you jammed for the weekend.

What Will We See in The Walking Dead Video Game? [Part 2]

Monday, March 19, 2012 at 4:00 pm
The suspense is killing us and many others.
After seeing last night's brain-rattling finale of AMC's The Walking Dead, we're already suffering from "undead withdrawals." And they're getting worse, now that Telltale Games, partnering with IGN, is set to feature game footage later today. In fact, that footage will be here at noon, Pacific Time.

What do you think of the trailer below? Any thoughts on the upcoming game?

What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Not a single video game will be played by me, folks. Nope. Not this weekend. This weekend is reserved for me getting housed and going to naughty clubs and gambling in Las Vegas. Well, I guess playing iPhone games probably counts. So, uh, Angry Birds.

But maybe you'll be playing some real games. Like perhaps Journey or maybe that Uncharted PSVita game. Oh wait. My bad. You'll all be playing Mass Effect 3. Hahaha.

Have a good weekend folks.

They need some snacks.
Last night's episode of AMC's The Walking Dead was crraaaaazzzzyyyyyy. So as not to spoil it for you latecomers, all I'll say is this: Shane's fate was foreshadowed a long time ago!

Anyway, as this season comes to a close, we're eyeing Telltale Games' video game series The Walking Dead. The minds behind it have been discussing it a web series titled "Playing Dead."

If you haven't seen them yet, check them out below and tell us your thoughts. What do you want to see in The Walking Dead video game?
