What Video Games Do You Play With Your Loved One?

Happy Valentine's Day, my good people. This Tuesday has all of our hearts aflutter with love, and the flowers are blooming and birds are chirping and chocolate is being inhaled at an alarming rate and nine months from now a ton of babies are gonna be born. This is the day of celebrating love.

And don't you think for a minute that the Joystick Division crew is a bunch of loveless loners. Not for one minute. As a matter of fact, we're about a half-dozen Casanovas who spend our days writing sonnets, wearing ruffles and frocks, wooing potential partners with our syrupy love-words. Actually, that's how we all hang out --in a big group on street corners, spouting off Shakespeare and drinking homeopathic love potions. It's a special kind of love.

Okay, in all seriousness, I want to talk with you about playing video games with your significant other. As video games have gotten more and more mainstream, I think that more and more often couples enjoy them together. My brother and his girlfriend have played a lot of cooperative Portal 2, which shows how amazing that relationship is, and my other brother plays Super Smash Bros. with his! Competitively! Those are two awesome ladies, without a doubt, and two very healthy relationships.

And, of course, this is if you do play video games with your significant other. Any girl I've ever dated has been vehemently anti-video games (probably why I'm single so often!), so I guess my answer is "once I played Mario Tennis on the Wii with my ex-girlfriend and we got in a huge fight." Bummer.

Anyway, that is neither here nor there -- back to the topic: What games are you into with your significant other, and why is it special for you? And have a happy Valentine's Day. I wish you all the best.
