School's back in season and everyone needs a good discount on things to do instead of homework. As we sit in our dorms, longingly thinking about the good old days of playing old games in front of a big TV, we realize that the whole thing can be replicated, sort of. Indie games look like old games, and Steam has plenty of those on the cheap.

Okay, indie games don't look old at all, but we needed something to stretch nostalgic gaming to the cold truth that gaming now takes place on a netbook in a small desk. We'll tell you about Steam's two new indie bundle sales after the jump. They're super cheap and both have fantastic games.
The Indie Strategy Bundle consists of Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Sanctum, Revenge of the Titans, and Sol Survivor. Out of the set, Revenge of the Titans and Anomaly are also playable on Mac. The bundle costs $10.

The other indie gauntlet, the Indie 2D Bundle features Bit Trip Runner, World of Goo, NightSky, Swords & Soldiers, and NyxQuest. All but NightSky are playable on Mac. This bundle costs the low price of $2, and comes with plenty of enjoyable games.

These two bundles are on sale until 4PM Thursday, so pick them up fast.
