We're just a month away from the first juggernaut of the fall season. Gears of War 3 is well on its way, and the hype machine is chugging along nicely, getting us mentally prepared to go throw $60 at our nearest GameStop in exchange for a few cents worth of plastic. Hurray.

Epic Games, the group behind the whole franchise, has released the initial cinematic for the campaign. In it, we get introduced to some new faces, as well as the new aesthetics that really shine like no Gears title before it. Would you like to see? I know you do. We'll meet after the jump.

I think it pretty much goes without saying that I'm so excited I could pee -- and that is pretty rare. Epic has done enough through the last four years to give me faith that their flagship franchise is going to continue to bang on all cylinders. The game drops on Xbox 360s September 20, 2011.
