They're wrong, of course. Fruit Ninja is a wonderful game and the people playing it are really enjoying themselves. It doesn't need to be complex to be fulfilling, especially when the fruit has all those antioxidants to keep you healthy.
Previously, this game was in iOS exclusive, but the good developers over at Halfbrick have released their game for Android devices and they did it at no cost to the player. That's right, Android users can now cut fruit for the low cost of nothing. And, unlike in real life, nobody's phone is gonna get sticky.
The trailer is for the iOS version, but the mechanics are largely unchanged for the port.
It's worth noting that a Kinect version of Fruit Ninja is on its way for the Summer of Arcade. If you really like the free, mobile version, you should put down a few dollars and play it by waving your arms instead of finger.
Download the game at the Android Marketplace and check it out. It'll at least divert you away from Angry Birds for a while.
