Schwa Techno Solutions has created an app inspired by Moonwalking with Einstein, Joshua Foer's memoir about strengthening his memory and competing in the World Memory Championships.

Mind Strength, as the iOS app is called, is a simple memory game, and it takes less than five minutes to complete.

Scratch that. If you have a great memory, and call on techniques to recall numbers, this might take you more than an hour. The game asks you one simple question: "How many numbers do you want to try to memorize?" You can select as little as 3, or as many as 300.

Check out my terrible short-term memory after the jump.

How many will it be, champ?

You see, playing this, I can barely memorize four random numbers. Mind Strength has inspired me to pick up Moonwalking and perhaps delve into some of these memory techniques. Though it's simple, it's a game that has me wondering, "How bad is my memory?" Maybe I'm just bad with numbers. I did get a D in Liberal Arts Mathematics in college.

Is five ambitious, or novice?

And here it is, my poor memory.

Overall, Mind Strength has room to expand. I'd love to have a go at words and images.

The Official Verdict: 4 out of 5
