| Debix for a year |
Partnering with Debix, Inc. and its "AllClear ID Plus" package, Sony now hopes to help guarantee all of its customers' identities are safe since, you know, they kind of lost them.
According to a May 5 post on the PlayStation blog, Sony is working to make similar programs available in other countries, but for now U.S. gamers can take advantage of Debix's services, free of charge.
Activation emails for the program are expected to start circulating via email any day now, with customers given until June 18 to sign up through Debix and redeem their 12 months of identity protection. All additional details will be included in those emails, so keep your eyes on that inbox.
Three key features the program will offer are cyber monitoring and surveillance, priority access to licensed private investigators and identity restoration specialists and a $1 million identity theft insurace policy per user.
So, is Sony doing enough to put things right when you combine this latest program with the already announced free month of PlayStation Plus and Qriocity, as well as a free (still unnamed) download off the PlayStation store? Let us know in the comments below.
