Seems like a good fit.
Younger gamers may not remember this, but at one point, Ice-T's metal band Body Count was unquestionably the most controversial band in the world. Of course, that was a long time ago, and the band has been absent from the musical scene for several years. Now it looks like the band may be reforming to perform a new song for the Gears of War 3 soundtrack.

The news of a metal band reuniting to record a song for an ultra-violent video game perhaps isn't as surprising as the source of the news: NPR's Talk of the Nation.

Ice-T was on the radio program yesterday to promote his new auto-biography Ice, which chronicles his years on the street, the origins of his hip hop career and how he grew into an actor best-known for playing a cop on Law & Order: SVU. It's a surprisingly interesting interview that covers a wide range of topics, and during the conversation, he drops the news that Body Count may be getting back together to record for the Gears 3 soundtrack.

Ice-T's presence will be felt in the game one way or another - he'll also be voicing a character in the game. Check out the complete interview right here.

And if you're one of those aforementioned younger gamers wondering why Body Count was such a big deal, we've got the answer for you right here:
