Fight for a good cause.
‚ÄčAs we mentioned earlier today, video games sometimes need to take a backseat to more important matters, such as the terrible situation in Japan. And sometimes video games can even play a small part in helping out during tough times. Japanese developer Capcom hopes you'll do your part to help out, and it has a charitable offer for you that's tough to refuse. For the next seven days, Capcom is dropping the price of its hit iOS port of Street Fighter IV from $9.99 to a meager $0.99, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Japanese relief effort.

Here's the statement from Capcom:

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with people who were caught in tragic "Tohoku Region Earthquake" in Japan.

CAPCOM as a Japanese gaming company, starting from Mar. 15th through Mar. 22nd we are going to drop the price of iPhone / iPod touch "Street Fighter IV" globally and donate all the sales to public charity.

People from all over the world, please unite with us to help people in the disaster-strick area.

You can purchase Street Fighter IV for the Apple device of your choice right here. We know there are a lot of good causes out there and it's difficult to donate to all of them, especially in these difficult economic times. But almost everyone can spare a buck, and we encourage you do do so. You'll be doing good and getting a great game in the process.
