Help me Falcon Gunner, you're my only hope.
Today is the day that Star Wars: Falcon Gunner and all other Star Wars iOS games published by THQ were scheduled to be pulled from the App Store. Fortunately for fans and the games developers, the games will remain available for an indeterminate amount of time.

Falcon Gunner creator Josh Shabtai credits Kotaku, which broke the story. He says he believes that the story prompted LucasArts and THQ Wireless to work out a deal that would allow the games to stay on the App Store for the time being. What the heck, Josh? We covered it, too. I thought we were friends.*

The temporary stay of execution is dose of good news, but still leaves several questions unanswered. Shabtai would like to update the iPad version of the game to fix a bug affecting those playing on the iPad 2. He's also like to add an Endor mission and even has an idea for an all-new Star Wars chess game, but I'd say that one is pretty unlikely.

*No hard feelings, man. Call me!
