| Pretty sure this bad boy is real. |
What started as a rumor and some sketchy pictures of various prototypes has since evolved into a verifiable super-for-real piece of hardware that mixes all the wonders of a modern smart phone with the gaming bliss of a PlayStation Portable. You're going to want to hit the jump for some fresh video footage of the device in action.
The folks over at Edge recently turned up a new Youtube video featuring the PlayStation Phone and, not really a surprise, the thing is running PS1 titles, specifically Resident Evil 2 and Ridge Racer 3.
Despite all of this, Sony still refuses to admit the device is legitimate. It's like Bigfoot, only we've moved away from shaky, armature photos and seemingly crazed claims of its existence to spec details and footage just shy of putting the thing in our hands and saying "Play around with it."
Check out the footage for yourself. Maybe there is some super sneaky tomfoolery going on here. Then again, maybe Sony just needs to make the official announcement and move on to actually promoting the damn thing.
