He doesn't look very lost

​It's not too often Wii gamers get the chance to try out a game demo before they buy it. It's pretty cool, then, that the upcoming Lost in Shadow will have a short run at participating Best Buy stores over the next couple weeks.

 

Earning Kotaku's award for "Best Gameplay Mechanic" and named runner up for "Best New Game" at the 2010 E3 event, gamers will have the opportunity to get their hands on the hotly anticipated title between now and Jan. 8...So long as your local Best Buy is one of the "select stores," that is.

 

To find out where you can take a crack at Lost in Shadow, head on over to the Best Buy website to locate the nearest participating retailer near you.

 

Sort of like a cross between Ico and the recently released echochrome ii, the world of Lost in Shadow takes place (you guessed it) in shadows. Players can move light sources to create new paths in an effort to reach the top of an ancient and mysterious tower. Even the character and the monsters he must face are cast in shadows, leaving the player to come up with some creative uses of light in order to outsmart his opponents and solve puzzles.

 

The Wii manages to host a handful of killer games each year and Lost in Shadow looks to be an early addition to that list for 2011 once it arrives on Jan. 4. Get your butt to Best Buy for a chance to see if the title lives up to all the early hype.
