| This car plays games. Nuff said. |
According to the Los Angeles Times, Nakamura, publisher of Giant Robot magazine, recently drew up the blueprints for a badical Scion xB to be built with gaming in mind. Hit the break for more details and a video interview with Nakamura about his sweet, sweet ride.
Nakamura's gaming machine took about three months to build and carries a price tag of just about $30,000. This special edition features front and back built-in projectors, perfect for shining video games onto nearby walls.
So what sort of junk does he have in the trunk? A Nintendo Wii and a classic Famicon (aka NES), ready to be powered up and played with images coming from either projector. The frills don't stop there, though. The car also features game controller seatbelt buckles, a joystick for shifting, and an ignition that starts when you pop in a special NES video game cartridge. (Bet he has to blow in it from time to time to get the thing running.)
Finally, folks actually sitting in the car can also play a game called Return of the Quack...You've got me on that one. Whatever it is, I'm sure it only makes this car even more awesome.
