Splinter Cell sneaks back onto PS3
Joining the likes of Kratos, Sly and The Prince will be Sam Fischer, as IGN reports Ubisoft has confirmed the Splinter Cell Trilogy is on its way to PlayStation 3.

For those who want to know how the green-glowey-eyed operative got his start in this crazy video game business, it looks like March 2011 will be the month for you.

The collection will feature the original Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, all in HD and, based on every other collection, will likely go for $29.99.

That's about all the details thus far, but what more do you need? You're getting three Splinter Cell games with a glorious high definition makeover. But here's something we're wondering about: The PS2 versions of the Splinter Cell games were scaled down from the Xbox versions, as Microsoft's previous console was the more powerful of the two machines. Will the HD ports be upgraded from the original Xbox builds or the less-impressive PS2 versions? We're guessing it will be the latter, but we've contacted Ubisoft for more information.
