|Michael Jackson: The Experience. Buy the game. Get the glove.|
MJTE is set to hit the Nintendo Wii for $49.99, and it's this version you'll have to buy if you hope to grab one of the limited edition gloves.
Ubisoft has not confirmed if the glove will be a pre-order special or included with the title itself, nor how many gloves a "limited number" might actually be.
With Ubisoft's similarly dance-focused title Just Dance selling more than 4 million copies already, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing Tony Kee said the genre is currently booming.
"The dance category will be really strong this year, and we can be a leader," Kee said. "The games are very accessible and are great group/family/party games. With Michael Jackson, we are looking to take things to another level."
He then added an excited "chyamoneh!"
Key went on to say very few artists can carry an entire product like this, stating that Mr. Jackson has always carried a global appeal. Co-executor for Jackson's estate John Branca agreed.
"With this interactive product, we have the chance to bring Michael, the artist, into households around the world in a perfect match of Michael's artistry and the family entertainment which he always highly valued," he said.
What this all boils down to is that, if you were planning on rocking out to everything from "Thriller" to "Billie Jean," you'll want to show everyone who's "Bad" and "Beat it" to the front of the line when the game releases later this month.
