| Mass Effect condensed into a comic for PS3 |
The first Mass Effect's outcome was greatly determined by the choices made while playing and, with such an epic story, it seemed odd to just throw PlayStation gamers into the mix without an introduction.
Developer BioWare Edmonton said they were working on something to help ease new players into the ME universe and, recently, they announced that project will actually be an interactive comic.
This actually seems like a pretty cool idea. Thanks to a partnership with Dark Horse Comics, players will get to have a say in how the first game turned out in a fraction of the time playing through the entire Sci-Fi epic would take. Not ideal, but a creative fix to an unfortunate dilemma.
The comic will feature all of the key plot points of the first Mass Effect and even give players the chance to make several key decisions leading up to its conclusion. This, in turn, will affect how your Mass Effect 2 experience will begin.
That's what we call thinking outside the box. I'm sure it seems like there was some sort of joke or pun in that last bit, but there isn't. It's just a fact.
