The IGAs offer 17 categories of gaming awesomeness
We know how much you folks enjoy awards shows, so it is with great honor that we announce the nominees for Machinima.com's second annual Inside Gaming Awards.

The show is set to take place Dec.10 at a private event in Hollywood, which means none of us are invited. A special nominations episode is available on Machinima.com right now with wrap-up footage from the awards show, featuring winners and other behind the scenes footage, set to premiere Wednesday, Dec. 15.

The show will feature 17 awards covering everything from Game of the Year to Best Trailer and Best DLC. According to Machinima.com CEO Allen Debevoise, the Inside Gaming Awards was established to provide an alternative look at the current year's highlights in gaming.

"We are focused on delivering an awards show that provides a different view of the year in gaming, in a format that is most accessible for the massive global audience who live predominantly online, Debevoise said. "The Inside Gaming Awards celebrates the titles, developers and publishers about whom our community is already very passionate, therefore activating our highly engaged audience for a more interactive experience that surpasses the traditional format award shows."

Rather than focus on individual genres, the IGAs instead narrow in on the various aspects of gaming that make titles so much fun to play. Without further jibba-jabba, here are the nominees.
