FarmVille is both a burden and a blessing in the hardcore gamer's eye. It's a blessing because everyone and their mother is now playing video games; something they have been campaigning for since the birth of the medium. It's also a burden because people who play FarmVille still can't seem to understand what's so fun about shooting other players for hours in Call of Duty, and the hardcore crowd can't seem to find any joy in clicking on a cow seven times a day.

Help is now on the way for the hardcore to understand and start playing one of the biggest Facebook games ever created. And if it doesn't help the hardcore, it will undoubtedly help you learn how to raise a beautifully fake farm.

FarmVille For Dummies is the latest book by former Joystick Divisionary and freelance extraordinaire Kyle Orland, and is co-authored by Angela Morales -- manager of The book is designed to help newcomers learn how to play the infamous social game, but will also be a primer with general FarmVille tips and likely help people play other games in the future.

The book is getting ready for a February 15 release, and is available for pre-order on Don't feel like a Dummy for being curious about a game that millions of people play, you're simply from a first-person shooter culture. Checking this book out will make you a diverse gamer, and a little bit more like Martin Luther King Jr.
