| It's like FarmVille, but with loads more killing |
It looks like FarmVille's stranglehold on your free time could be loosening soon, especially with titles like EA's recently announced Dragon Age Legends coming to the book of faces.
This new title is inspired by the award-winning RPG series and, for those already planning to pick up Dragon Age II down the road, playing Legends can actually unlock in-game items for it's console brother.
Legends has been custom-made for the more casual style of Facebook games and, according to EA, blends accessible and engaging tactical combat with compelling cooperative gameplay. According to EA 2D General Manager Mark Spenner, the company hopes to set a new standard for what it means to make a casual game.
"Our goal is to change the perception of social nework games and attract new players to the Facebook platform by raising the quality bar," he said. "Dragon Age Legends will deliver a deep, sophisticated experience, and will continue to delight gamers by adding new features and content far into the future."
Players will be able to join their friends in order to take on quests within the storyline, earn loot, share rewards and expand their kingdom. There will even be character customization options and an upgrade system for tackling the bigger, badder darkspawn creatures.
Look for Facebook to unleash some serious epicness when Dragon Age Legends releases sometime in February, 2011.
