According to the folks over at PopCap, this latest iteration in the series will do more than just offer a couple minor tweaks to its match-three puzzle play style. Sporting HD graphics and new music, Bejeweled 3 will also feature several new playing experiences, as well as updates and re-imaginings of everyone's favorite classic options.Along with expanded versions of Bejeweled 2's four modes, part three will feature all new options including Ice Storm, Poker, Quest (which features 11 mini-games) and more.
According to Bejeweled co-creator Jason Kapalka, the challenge in creating a new version of Bejeweled is to innovate and keep things fresh and exciting without losing touch with the gameplay everyone loves.
"So we're very careful when we make changes to the core game, which is why it can take so long," Kapalka said. "We've worked hard to make sure Bejeweled 3 retains the classic appeal of the earlier games while bringing a host of exciting new features to the table."
