That's right, it's time for another weekly Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 article. Are you excited? I know I am!

The upcoming game in the MvC franchise has put big money signs in Capcom's eyes. At least, more money than Street Fighter IV put in their eyes. In an interview with EventHubs, Capcom's VP of strategic planning, Christian Svensson, answered a few questions about Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. See what he had to say after the jump!

When asked about whether MvC3 will perform better than SF4, Svensson had this to say:

MvC3 has a more broadly appealing/recognizable brand with the inclusion of Marvel, a more accessible but still deep fighting system that's fun for casual players and EVO attendees. It's only helped by the fact that it has been by far, our most requested sequel title in my tenure here at Capcom. And we'll be supporting it with marketing at least as aggressive if not more so than we did with Street Fighter 4 to ensure everyone knows that it's coming. All of these factors lead me to believe that it will be at least as successful as SF4 from a sales perspective.

The whole interview can also be found here.

Other news from the MvC3 front features the inclusion of a "simple" mode: A simplified control scheme will be put in the game to make the game's more mechanical intricacies a little more approachable for casual gamers. This was done earlier to great success in the latest BlazBlue title. He also mentioned that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 is Capcom's best selling downloadable title to date.
