| OK Go wants you to win a game! |
By Ryan Winslett
Do you have two turntables and, perhaps, a microphone? Do you spend your afternoons auto-tuning random recordings into techno songs? Have you been known to cut, paste, stretch, flip and otherwise remix your favorite ditties? Would you like to win some free swag and be featured in Rock Band 3?
Harmonix Music Systems and MTV Games, in conjunction with Indaba Music, recently announced a contest to remix a song from the "Most downloaded band ever," OK Go, to be included on the Rock Band Network.
If you think you have what it takes to create a true remixed masterpiece, the competition asks that you simply work your magic on the band's newest single, "White Knuckles," featured on their latest CD Of the Blue Colour of the Sky.
You have to act fast, though, as the competition only runs through Oct. 14. Each week, OK Go's producer, Dave Fridmann, will choose a selection of his favorite remixes to be featured on OK Go's website and then made available for fans to download accompanying pre-orders for the Nov. 2 release of the new album.
The winner of the remix competition will be announced Oct. 29 and their song will be made available for purchase through the Rock Band Network Music Store in late November.
To sweeten the pot, the winner will also receive their very own copy of Rock Band 3 with all the instruments, an Xbox 360 system, as well as an autographed copy of Of the Blue Colour of the Sky.

That gives you about 14 days to wrap this project up. You should probably stop reading now and get to work.
