New features to the handheld (aside from the impressive 3D) includes the 3DSWare store. Similar to the DSi store, people can download games, and videos. The 3DS will be able to use WiFi in sleep mode so all these thing can be downloaded while saving on power.
The handheld console will come with 2GB memory built in with an SD card slot for expandable memory to store all these games, videos, and 3D photos.
In addition to even more 3DS features, we also have a large list of upcoming games after the jump. Check it out to see what's in store for Nintendo's pocket-sized console.
A finalized look of the 3DS unsurprisingly looks like the E3 model. The biggest change is the inclusion of an awesome retractable stylus. The device also now has a little light in the corner which flashes whenever it interacts with a nearby 3DS; possibly allowing more game modes similar to Dragon Quiest IX's tag mode.
Finally, the device will also come with several ARGs (augmented reality games). Although no specifics have emerged, ARGs are traditionally things like Foursquare or things that reward you for specific real-world behavior. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo treats the concept in a world of iPhones and Androids.
More information about the device is sure to spring up as it's release date draws closer. Particular interest should be put into the impressive lineup the 3DS already has. I for one can't wait to learn what Combat of Giants Dinosaur 3D is.
The following games have been announced for the 3DS:
Samurai Warriors Chronicle, Resident Evil Revelations, Super Street Fighter IV, Dynasty Warriors Musou, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Chocobo Racing 3D, Super Black Bass 3D, Super Monkey Ball, Sonic, Licca-chan 3DS, Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus: Uprising, StarFox 64 3D, Steel Diver, nintendogs + cats, Mario Kart, Pilot Wings Resort, Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Marble Mania, Deca Sporta, Bomberman, Gundam, Super Robot, Dragonball, Pac-Man & Galaga, Ridge Racer, Harvest Moon, Professor Layton and the Mask of the Miracle, Crash-City GP, VS-robo, Class of Heroes 3D x 3D, Combat of Giants Dinosaur 3D, Ghost Recon Tactics, Splinter Cell 3D, and Driver 3D.
