Ben Croshaw, better known to most as Yahtzee, has been delighting gamers the world over for years with his hilarious, animated, and hilariously animated Zero Punctuation reviews from escapistmagizine.com.
For those in need of a bigger dose of Yahtzee goodness, and loads more punctuation than the author is traditionally known for, his first proper novel, "Mogworld," is set to release on Sept. 14.
Set within a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, Jim is brought back from the dead by a renegade necromancer sixty years following his death. He's tasked with saving the world despite an overwhelming desire to return to his afterlife buried six feet under. To make matters worse, thousands of wanna-be heroes are literally overrunning the world.
With a less-than-helpful thief and a few brain-dead corpses at his side, Jim must venture forth with little more than a "powerful death wish" to guide him while, in the outside world, programmers race against the clock to make their deadline and squash game-crippling bugs threatening to ruin all of Mogworld.
"Mogworld" is being published by Dark Horse Comics and comes in at 350 pages. Yahtzee encourages readers to look for his first "grown up book" at "all good online book retailers."
