Last year's Tiger Woods scandal left many wondering if the game franchise bearing the golf pro's name would continue despite the tarnish he might bring along for the ride.

While Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 did make it to store shelves, the folks over at Gusto Games must have thought they at least had some wiggle room to move in on the market, as John Daly's ProStroke Golf is set to launch Oct. 8 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

While Tiger Woods' most recent game is set to offer PlayStation Move support, John Daly's title claims to be "the first and only golf game to have been created from the ground up" to utilize the new technology.

According to Gusto Games, players will be able to rotate the club head in real-time, punch and chip the ball according to input movement, simulate weight transfer and much more.

The game also features the return of the ProStroke control system, which gives players a first-person view of the ball and club head, resulting in a natural representation of the actual golf swing.

All of this is well and good, I suppose, but I actually play golf. And I do so poorly. I play video games to escape reality and feel empowered. If this thing is as accurate as it sounds, what are the chances I'll ever come out of virtual Pebble Beach with anything better than a +27?
