Lucas Arts has shown great restraint in blending their hit game franchises with anything bearing the Star Wars logo on it. That restraint has ended as of earlier this week with the announcement that Guybrush Threepwood will appear as a playable character in Force Unleashed II.
By playable character, we mean that his face will be plastered on the game's recently-cloned main character. It is likely, however, that the Threepwood model will still maintain some of the skills he learned in his Skumm days; except with improved Jedi style. He will be able to force push, force pull, force pick up, and other fun things that Jedi are known to do.
It is unlikely the secret of Monkey Island will be learned in the Force Unleashed II. The game will probably also be taken more seriously than Monkey Island when it comes out in October.
