Already, Final Fantasy XIV is here...sort of.

Well, that didn't take too long.

Yesterday, Square Enix announced that the Final Fantasy XIV open beta test for PC would be postponed due to "critical issues," much to the moaning and groaning of Chocobo riders world-wide. No estimate was given as to how long correcting said bugs might take.

The answer is: Nearly no time at all.

For U.S. adventurers, the beta is set to begin at 7 p.m. today. That's, like, super soon.

If you're gaming in the UKFrance or Germany, you'll have to wait until 2:00 (GMT) tomorrow. As for our Japanese friends, your beta launches at 11 a.m. tomorrow as well. That's 11 a.m. in Japan. You do the math.

Once your designated time slot rolls around, head on over to the application site, select your region and apply to receive a beta code. It's that simple.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have friends and family to blow off. If you need me, I'll be in Eorzia for the foreseeable future.
