Fans of Alien Breed: Evolution have something to be excited about as it was recently announced Alien Breed 2: Assault will soon be dropping on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam. How soon? Like, tomorrow.
Developer Team17 said the next chapter in this "explosive science fiction arcade-shooter" will once again use Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 to give players the chance to blow holes in countless aliens in beautifully detailed environments.
The game will include a story mode, as well as "Survivor" modes and two-player online co-operative and battle modes.
"We've got some awesomely destructive new weapons to purchase and upgrade, monstrous new boss battles, and some really exciting set-pieces," said John Dennis, Team17 Head of Design.
"Add to this our brand new Survivor mode, which pits players against relentless waves of enemies in either single-player or two-player co-op, and the stress-inducing, claustrophobic experience of moving even deeper into a space station infested with blood-thirsty aliens, and you get a very strong offering that we hope will please both Alien Breed fans and players new to the game alike."
The Xbox Live version of the game will also feature special Avatar awards, including body armor and a helmet from the game.
Look for Alien Breed 2: Assault, to release on Xbox and Steam Sept. 22. The price has not been announced as of yet, but we're assuming that info will be provided before you try to actually purchase the game. That's usually how such transactions work.
