Whip it good!
By Rich Shivener

Castlevania will always remind us of Simon Belmont destroying Dracula with holy water and a skin-cracking whip. In fact, the Belmont clan and Dracula family have been fighting for quite some time, shedding blood from NES to (get excited) PS3 - and in most cases, the good guys have a pile of minions and monsters to vanquish.

And some of those monsters are awkward, weird, amazing, and downright bizarre, which we look at in today's list. Get ready for lasers and fire!

10) Succubus (Castlevania: Lament of Innocence)

Let's call her the Poison Ivy of Castlevania, a sensuous villain equipped with deadly plants and arrows ... and that's about all. Sure, she can split into three, but doing that offers Leon Belmont three chances to whip some lingerie.

9) The Painter (Castlevania: Harmony of Despair)

"A painting of the soul!" This bonehead attacks with blood paint, gargoyles and floating skulls. His masterpiece, and death wish, is the ability to shape into a canvas.

8) Twin Dragon Zombies (Castlevania: Circle of the Moon)

Dragon zombies? They're easy to defeat, and in this case, undead means they're slow, aimless and, well, ugly. At least they can shoot fireballs, but even those seem useless.

7) Camilla (Castlevania: Circle of the Moon)

Nathan Graves didn't expect to see Camilla, summoner of Dracula. Nor did Graves expect a fight with a naked demon-girl floating atop a dreadlocked skull. Sexy? It's something. She has a laser beam, after all.

6) Dracula (Castlevania: Curse of Darkness)

Dracula, or Dracula's curse, has taken many forms, but his powers of darkness are out of control in this fight. Those include firing neon orbs and lasers, morphing into Lucifer's brother, and gargling repetitive one-liners.
