We don't take kindly to the livin'.
Just a few short hours ago, we posted a brilliant piece detailing the new screens of Red Dead Redemption's new Zombie escapade, Undead Nightmare. And while some clever commentary and excellent visuals are always welcome, it is time to take the next step.

Well, now we've got a little trailer for you, to sate your zombie hunger. Since today we have an unusually high volume of zombie-related posts, we figured hey, maybe we stick with the theme and keep the undead coverage coming. So follow this for the trailer, which looks bad ass.

Like this, but better.

By Ryan Winslett

The video games industry isn't exactly know for its well-kept secrets.

If new DLC or a shiny new piece of hardware is on the way, no matter how tightly under wraps somebody might want to keep it, there's almost always a leak or two along the way to the official reveal.

After weeks of whispers and insider tips claiming Nintendo was cooking up a new controller (like this leaked box we reported on here), The Big N has finally confirmed that its new Wii controller, the Wii Remote Plus, is an actual piece of hardware that is going to be sold at some point in the future.

See, Nintendo. It wasn't that hard, was it?

This guy Has 8 Bit Wood and So Can You!

Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm
Pixel art has been around for years. People have loved creating fresh new products out of a craft from their childhood since for generations. But even with 8 bit homages like chiptunes, games like Cave Story and Scott Pilgrim, no one has ever recreated NES characters in wood. That is, until now.

8 Bit Wood is "a journey into the madness of pixel art." Jeff Swenty, The creator and cinematic director at Neversoft, already has a robust collection of pixel people on display in his office. Check out his gallery and see the finest in saw-related video game artwork.

The 15 Most Offensive Games Ever Made

Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 1:00 pm
Manhunt 2 is one of the few mainstream games to make this list
Every year or so, another list of the "most offensive video games" starts flying around the web. Usually, they're crap - no more than weak attempts by the mainstream media to demonize games like Grand Theft Auto

This list, on the other hand, is actually pretty good.

Originally appearing on PC World and circulated by The Washington Post, this article gets it right by focusing on some of the many genuinely offensive indie games out there, throwing in some classic offenders like Custer's Revenge and sprinkling in a couple mainstream games that really did go too far.

Check out the list of titles below.

"Dance Fortress 2" Brings Hip Hop to Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2 gets funky in Dance Fortress 2
Have you ever thought that Team Fortress 2 would be even greater if, instead of fighting, the various characters... danced?

Animator James Benson did, and we got Dance Fortress 2 as a result.

The video is short, but totally worth checking out. It apparently took Benson four months to create, which means that he's clearly got almost as much dedication to his craft as we do to our. And our craft is, of course, drinking.

Check out Dance Fortress 2 below.

Red Dead Redemption Infected by Undead Nightmare

Brains, pardner!

By Ryan Winslett

It seems like you can't throw a rock these days without hitting a videogame featuring some sort of zombie mode. I'm not sure why you would want to throw rocks at videogames, but I'm not here to judge. I'm here to tell you about the latest title to fall victim to the undead: Red Dead Redemption.

We've known for a while now that Rockstar was cooking up some zombie goodness in the form of their next DLC, "Undead Nightmare."

What we didn't know, though, was just how good these undead hordes would look.

Rockstar yesterday revealed the first four screenshots to go along with their upcoming content featuring oodles of the undead and even a four-legged brain-eater you can tame and ride. Yes, please!

Click on after the break to see what you have to look forward to when Undead Nightmare releases for Red Dead Redemption later this year.

The Top Ten Zombie Games Of All Time

The Ten Zombie Games
There is a strange, strong appeal to zombie video games. Superficially, they are stories of continuation -- the one versus the many, an effort of a lone soul trying to extend a bleak, hopeless existance. Subliminally, though, they are a study of humanity. They pit survivors against survivors, whittling down the weak from the strong, and the good from the evil. The helpless from the helpful. The enemy is rarely that which seeks brains.

And the video game world is flush with wonderful zombie-filled tales. From humorous tower-defense games to terrifying survival-horror epics, we get to examine willpower and the decency of humankind firsthand. With all that in mind, we are pleased to announce Joystick Division's picks for the greatest zombie games of all time. Please enjoy!

Beyond GameCube graphics.
Beyond Good & Evil is one of the most beloved, and most overlooked, games of all time. And now, after gaining a massive cult following, it will become released once again on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

The game, which garnered mass critical acclaim upon its release, has long been near the top of the list for re-releases due to its timeless appeal and fantastic story. The re-release will feature resolution in 1080p and a remastered soundtrack, as well as achievements and trophies for your collection.

No set date yet, but it'll be out in 2011. A trailer, perhaps?

Force Unleashed II Gets Threepwooded

Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 8:00 am
It's surprising this hasn't happened sooner.

Lucas Arts has shown great restraint in blending their hit game franchises with anything bearing the Star Wars logo on it. That restraint has ended as of earlier this week with the announcement that Guybrush Threepwood will appear as a playable character in Force Unleashed II.
