Pacifist Modern Warefare 2 Player Still Going Strong

Last week, a story surfaced about a dude who has had enough of all the virtual killing. The player, named Glen McCracken, has maxed out his Prestige on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 five times and wants some change.

So he's decided to get to level 70 by not killing anyone at all. An impossible feat, it seems, but he believes it can be done. He says it will take about two months of intense patience and a stiff work ethic. Lots of tactical insertions, flag captures, and a trusty blast shield.

Well, that was a week ago, and he's still well on his way. Hit the jump for some statistics in what we believe will be a very long on-going story.

Game Informer was the first to pick up this story last week, when McCracken began the marathon. Since then, he's been able to defy all naysayers, reaching level 21 without ending the life of a single player.

But those he's "fought" have certainly ended his life, frequently and without mercy. His kill/death spread is 0/1,350 as of Sunday, and he's not even 30% there. But that's what you'd expect with such a goal in mind.

For the gaming community, comment boards and forums have been lighting up with support for him as he attempts to finish his quest. Most people, surprisingly, are on board with this new way he's doing things -- some because of the insane nature of it, some for the point it makes, and some just because they don't want a guy with thousands of MW2 hours under his belt killing them at every turn.

For me, it is actually a kind of touching quest. Not that his motives are necessarily pacifistic or anti-war or whatever, but there's something to be said for how hard he's working on such a difficult and original idea. Stay tuned for further updates. And Mr. McCracken, AKA Mr_No_Kills, you got our support. Play on, brother. Play on.
