Save the world, virtually!
A very unusual press release just landed in my inbox, one that I really didn't see coming.

Greenpeace has its own video game, and it goes on sale tomorrow.

Greenpeace's Ship Simulator Extremes was announced a while back (it was even show at E3, apparently), but somehow we missed that piece of news. Readers, we let you down.

But we want to make it up to you, so here's all you need to know about the environmental organization's new video game.

In Ship Simulator Extremes, players can virtually participate in recreations of Greenpeace missions to stop whalers, polluters and other environmentally motivated missions. The game features accurate recreations of Greenpeace ships and "reinforces Greenpeace values." According to the press release, a mission will automatically end if you ram a whaling vessel with your boat, as Greenpeace always practices non-violence.

I'm not really sure Greenpeace understands this whole video game thing.

Anyway, here's the trailer. For more information, check out the game's official page here. Twenty percent of the proceeds will go towards building Greenpeace's new boat, the Rainbow Warrior.
