As a big superhero and comic fan, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is one of the games I was most excited to play at E3. There hasn't been any gameplay videos yet and I was eager to see how the decade-old classic adapted to modern fighters like Super Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6. Now, after playing several rounds of MvC3, I can state that the game is probably one of my favorite games at E3.
My warm fuzzy feelings for the game may be because the game leaves a fantastic first impression. The graphics make the characters look like action figures. Playing the game feels like a glorious comeback to the 56 character classic that was the last game. Every playable character in the game is extremely fun to play with and are fairly balanced. That is, except for Devil May Cry's Dante. He's incredible, and feels a bit more powerful than the rest.
Dante plays almost identical to the way he did in the Devil May Cry franchise. All of his moves have been ported perfectly to the 2D fighter. That said, his his reach is enormous due to his large sword. He was probably one of the most-played characters over the course of E3.
Deadpool was probably the next-most played character at the show, probably because his source material is so entertaining and the character is quite popular right now. Whichever character you favor, you'll be very pleased when you finally get your hands on Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
