That claim seems highly suspect, especially considering that West and Zampella have "poured [their] hearts and souls into this company" over what has nearly been a decade. However, it starts to make a little more sense when you take a look at the lawsuit filed in response against Activision: West and Zampella are seeking to receive compensation for unpaid royalties.
Now it appears that the duo were fired simply because the suits didn't want to pay them what was due, but despite the many things that Activision is, it it most certainly NOT business-retarded (technical term). I say this because if things are as cut and dry as they appear, Activision will get the shit sued out of them, and that would be business-retarded by definition.
Now before you all attack me for sticking up for the man, know that I haven't sided with either party -- I'm just pointing out that there are always two sides to a story, and I can't wait to hear the other half.
