Backlog 2009

The week between Christmas and New Year's has always been great for cleaning up the video game backlog. It's especially critical this year, as the new releases start flowing again in early January (Darksiders, Bayonetta, Army of Two). I'm going to attempt to knock at least two games down before those big games start showing up: The Saboteur and Uncharted 2. I can't believe I've let a big game like Uncharted 2 go unplayed for so long, but that's the very nature of the backlog, isn't it?

So folks, what games will you be playing this week? How's that backlog looking? The photo above isn't my actual backlog, obviously. I keep mine much tidier than that.

Finished Ghostbusters and I'm most likely going to sell it. It was fun, but I don't feel as though I need to play it again. I've also finished New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but that game will be a part of my Wii collection permanently. It's too goddamn fun.

I'm now playing A Boy and His Blob. Christmas gift from the wife. Game is fairly easy, but it's incredibly adorable and a lot of fun.

Traveling to Cuba in 2 weeks, so I'll tackle Zelda: Spirit Tracks while I'm flying. If they'll even let people play video games while on an airplane now, that is. Thank you, terroristic motherfucker who tried to blow up an airplane on Christmas Day!

Thanks to some awesome gifts from my mother-in-law, I'll be playing my way through Batman: Arkham Asylum and Borderlands. And much like Dread, my copy of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will be coming to Costa Rica with me.

Can I come too? With either one of you?

How does one even get to Cuba these days?

Dread said:

Sorry. Honeymoon, Anton. You're not invited.

Finally started Fallout 3. Seriously. Concurrently rocking New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and then on to God Of War Collection.

Fine, don't invite me. Congratulations, jerk.

Kidding. Have a good trip!
