While speaking during a Q&A session at London's Eurogamer Expo, Quantic Dream's Founder David Cage made PS3 fans extremely proud when answering a question about Heavy Rain's PS3 exclusivity. After a sigh,
He said:
"Whatever I answer, my answer will be suspicious... I think it had to be
on PlayStation 3 for two main reasons: the hardware, the architecture
of the PS3 is extremely powerful in the way it is structured. If you
make a real PS3 engine, then you can have really fantastic
performances. If you try to port from another platform, then it becomes
difficult."
This is a somewhat refreshing depart from other developers like Valve who claim porting games from other platforms to the PS3 is "
too complicated". However, feeding Sony's over-aggressive fanbase these kinds of answers only encourage them to proclaim their system is superior, which I don't support.
