Randy Pitchford is at it again! Just after reporting on Direct2Drive's Modern Warfare 2 boycott and mentioning Pitchford's previous anti-Valve rant, I got word that his latest criticism had surfaced. This time he goes after Valve's dislike of PlayStation 3 development. I guess Randy wants Valve to feel more like Quantic Dream does about the PS3.

This latest Valve-bashing is from the UK's Official Playstation Magazine in which he called Valve's VP of Marketing "foolish" for taking a swipe at the PS3. He goes on to say (after the jump):

"I read it the same way I read fanboys. Like there's a guy who brought the Sony platform and he's a Sony guy, so he decides he's going to spend a certain percentage of his time bashing Microsoft. And there's a guy on Microsoft doing the same thing. Those guys are childish and narrow minded; It's the same kind of thing."

I just don't see how Valve's criticism of Sony's development platform is the same as a Sony or Microsoft fanboy bashing the other's favorite system. However, I do think Randy is a little jealous of Valve's success and is looking to help gain more attention to Gearbox as a PS3 loving developer. It's not a bad plan since Sony's following is just as hardcore as Apple's.
