Activision has plans to announce a $1 million funded non-profit effort that will go towards helping veterans transition from military to civilian careers. The effort is being nicknamed CODE for The Call of Duty Endowment and will coincide with Modern Warfare 2's launch the day before Veteran's Day. There will be a morning press conference in Washington D.C. where Activision-Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick will give the company more press than they deserve.

Speaking to the Washington Post, Kotick said:

"The joblessness rate that [veterans] should have should be far less than the national average, not more. How do you expect people to actually join the military if when they leave the military they can't integrate back into the free market they're supposed to be protecting?"

I'll give Activision my praise for giving a little to help a worthy cause, but only $1 million? Come on now, Bobby! We all know how much you guys profit!
