As a fan of Shenmue, I'm disappointed that it had to come down to this. I wouldn't be as disappointed if Sega produced a sequel to Shenmue II, but to invoke his likeness now is insulting to Shenmue fans.

Is it just me, or has Sega not come out with any good games since they left the console market?

Catch 22. Everybody is saying they want
Shenmue, but is this really how SEGA think
we want to see Ryo Hazuki, as an arcade character?
For the uninitiated Shenmue is not an arcade game.
Its a mature emotional as well as psychological
quest in which arcade diversions are available to
the main character. But Ryo is firmly a "real person".
This is why so many people are upset by SEGAs recent
interpretation.

I think all you guys are looking at it the wrong way. If anything I think its a sign that a new shenmue game is actually coming.
