Counter-Strike/Counter-Strike Source's AWP is one of the most powerful weapons in any FPS; a literal one-shot-kill no matter where you hit your opponent. Put it in the hands of a talented player and they will destroy everything in their path. Unlike many other games on this list, Counter-Strike takes true skill to beat someone better than yourself. It is a game where the laws of luck rarely apply and where the strong survive and the weak quit early. I quit early...a lot.

Halo 3 had a tough act to follow after Halo 2's massive success. There was no doubt about it being an imminent hit, but how would Halo 2's loyal cult-like following react to changes in the sequel? They didn't have much choice. Halo 3 quickly left Halo 2 in the dust and took up its crown as king of Xbox Live. This was no surprise considering the advances the game had made with its map editing feature, Forge and film editing feature, Theater. However, the gameplay change from Halo 2 to Halo 3 was a little rocky and hard for many veteran players to get used to. For one, lag will affect a game more than ever. Two, the gameplay itself was significantly slowed down. And three, it is impossible to escape death -- especially from the Assault Rifle. The AR's bullets will spray you even if your opponent's aim is off away from you allowing them to shoot you for literally a second, beat you down and claim victory. This starting weapon's purpose was to make the game easier for entry-level players in order to keep them interested and not turned-off too much by other player's abilities. This new AR single-handedly ruined public, non-ranked matchmaking for many of Halo's hardcore followers.Call of Duty 4: P90

The P90 is a beautiful piece of Belgian craftsmanship, a weapon used by security and military forces around the world. And in Call of Duty 4, a 12-year-old will hide around a corner with one and when you walk into his field of vision, he will spray you mindlessly until his clip is dry. Then he will begin yelling incoherently, leaving you to assume it had something to do with his giant reproductive organ going into your widely open exit doors. It's a disturbing experience that may leave weak men questioning their purpose in life.
Mario Kart: Red Shells

16-64 bit generation experienced. They were good wholesome fun-filled games with
colorful tracks, wacky characters, and good competition. The memories
of getting shelled, bananaed, rammed will forever be a reminder of the
good times you had with the Nintendo. As if! The only thing that you remember is that time Tyler red-shelled you just before you were about to win the cup against him in a grueling race on Rainbow Road.
We didn't invite Tyler over anymore after that.

In Halo 2, just use a shotgun to take out sword-wielders when they come at you. Swords don't stand a chance against a shotgun.

Basically a 6 man squad with Sub machine guns who can be airdropped in from any point on the map from a glider that will kill any units it lands on. They can then pop smoke and become invisible, throw handheld nuke nades, plant camo'd invincible instagibbing remote-detonating demo charges and they kill every single enemy infantry unit with little resistance. Most overused and annoying unit. Same problem with the American rangers.

The Farsight XR-20 from the original Perfect Dark... the second of the series continues to go unrecognized by me.
Also.... pikachu from SSB classic? No way, I dominated as kirby, and everyone always seemed to think he was the cheapest..., but my brother was always a god-like ness player.

Posted 08/03/2009 at 08:40:06 PMmy favorite was the proximity mine glitch on goldeneye for n64... sure people are used to looking for mines on floors and walls as they ran by, but place half a dozen glitched mines in the air above players heads and the game is on.
btw gauss snipers on crysis can go die.

Also the sword in Halo 2 was easy sauce to kill when using a shotgun, or atleast plasma nade, you both die, all in all, annoying yes, a big problem? Certainly not.

You needed an entire clip to kill someone hitting pretty much every single bullet and would almost certainly get owned by anyone with any other gun. If any weapon in Halo 3 is overpowered it would be the BR, especially if you're playing a skilled team game when everyone's rocking one and you die almost instantly...

Posted 08/04/2009 at 12:59:45 PMYeah, the Battle Rifle is way worse than the AR. The only way you win with an AR head-to-head is by softening them up with a frag first or smackin' em in the head after a half clip. If they have anything other than an AR they win. OR they are complete n00bs.

Almost everybody online used that weapon.

I've dodged them a few times in Double Dash on Gaycube. ;-) powerslide onto a turn wait for the shell to dip down to hit u let go of powerslide and use a mushroom for a boost. Shell hits the ground and takes out the 2nd place loser. Works even better if u powerslide ur car sideways up one of those ramps that boost you. It just goes past you. Try it on the waluigi corse.

As one guy said already, the boomstick will make mincemeat of any sword whore. I hear ya on most of these but Halo 3 is a fantastic game and overall it is one of the best multiplayer experiences out there. But it takes a brain to make proper use of it.

Three: I've never had much of a problem with meta knight. I rarely face him and I usually kick his @$$. My Samaus all the way!
Four: The boomshot was one of the easier guns to put up with in gears considering how easy it is to roll out of the way. Half the other weapons in that game should be put on the list instead.
Five: Those saying flamethrower from TF2? Really? That things range sux. CoD5's one is more annoying
Six: The AR? Seriously? I always thought it was the default because an army of weapons easily trump its sorry self

sure you can put the p90 up buy that is nothing compared to the m16 nothing worse than a gold cross 55 going wow a g36 in multiplayer i've never seen one because i only use the fucking m16 oh i just hit you in the foot at 60 feet with my ACOG m16 that means your dead i fucking hate that more than anything
