Like Halo, there's enough Mortal Kombat art out there that I might end up running more than one week of MK fan art. But for now, I'll just show you some of the best of the best, and maybe we'll come back to revisit the Outworld tournament another time. I'd been thinking that Mortal Kombat was somewhat of a second-tier fighting series, taking a backseat to franchises like Street Fighter and Soul Calibre. Apparently I was wrong, as this edition of Weekly Fan Art has it all: Chibi versions. Terrible MSPaint creations. Crossovers with Sonic the Hedgehog. And, of course, homoeroticism. And I'm not even going to post the Scorpion-on-Sub-Zero hardcore cocksucking drawings I found. I really wish I was kidding about that.

Probably the two best-known characters in the Mortal Kombat universe are Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Usually enemies, occasionally allies, here we see the two of them bonding at an amputee support group. Shame about their hands - without the ability to throw ice balls or tethered spears respectively, they're both pretty much useless.

Here we see them making out. Normally, I like to save the gayness for the end, but in this case, it's one of the less disturbing art pieces. What's funny to me is that I don't remember Scorpion looking anything like the long-haired loverboy above. I thought he looked more like this:

Shit, that's definitely not right. What the hell is going on here? It says "Scorpion," but what I see is a dude in a biohazard suit with swords. Oh, and a flaming yellow dick.

Compared to those last two, this is a fairly accurate drawing of Sub-Zero. And people wonder why I drink. Of course, Mortal Kombat isn't just about these two characters - there's a wide range of fighters competing in MK's Outworld tournament. Let's take a look at a few more.

Oh, I forgot to mention that they were in Sonic form. This just goes to show you how desperate Sonic fans really are for a good game - they're constantly inserting the characters into better games, but the MK series ain't exactly critically beloved. It's like inserting a character from Confessions of a Shopaholic into The Nanny Diaries. Not that I've seen either of those movies. Ahem. Moving on.

So, yeah... frightening Mortal Kombat sex dolls, anyone? I actually had to censor this one, as the artist had actually taken the time to draw semi-realistic naughty bits (to the best of his ability, anyway). I thought about posting it as is, but my crude censor bars improve the piece, I think. Now it looks like they both shit themselves. How creepy is it that these two naked video game character shitting themselves is somehow an improvement? Speaking of creepy...

Namira here isn't a Mortal Kombat character. She's from a forgettable N64 fighter called Mace: The Dark Age. I've included here here for two reasons. One, there will never be a Mace: The Dark Age edition of this column. Two, the name of this drawing is "Look at my Feet." I am looking, and they're terrifying. One foot appears to be a dog's paw, and the other one is on backwards. And why the fuck is a character from Mace: The Dark Age starring in foot fetish porn in the first place?
