Scary Movies, Scary Games

I love horror movies. I especially love horror movies in the month of October. I caught Quarantine this weekend on a whim, and liked it much more than I expected to. And like a lot of horror movies, it could make a pretty decent video game, specifically a smaller downloadable title like Siren: Blood Curse on PlayStation Network.
I can think of a lot of horror flicks that would make decent games, the most obvious being 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks later. The films of Neil Marshall are all very game-friendly as well (Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and Doomsday). What scary movies would you like to see turned into video games? How about a Grand Theft Auto-style adaptation of They Live? A Clock Tower-inspired take on the Friday the 13th series? Or a video game version of About Schmidt where you try to avoid a naked Kathy Bates? Let's hear your suggestions in the Comments.

I'd say Jacob's Ladder, but, y'know, it's been done.
Posted 10/13/2008 at 04:41:06 PMWhat was wrong with the first Friday the 13th game? Oh. Right. Well, what about:
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Take the scary "Chainsaw guy in pursuit" stuff from Resident Evil 4 and stretch it out, plus tons of inbred freaks.
-The Descent
-Cube
-Alone in the Dark: The Movie: The Game
-Hostel: Make it like Trauma Center, but for evil!
-Not strictly a horror movie, but I'd like a Battle Royale game.
-Funny Games 2: Funny Mini-Games
-a video game about the upcoming V mini-series re-make. Have there been any games based on a mini-series? That would be awesome.
Posted 10/13/2008 at 09:31:02 PMHellraiser could be kool. BTW Anyone remember the Power Glove placement in Freddy's Dead?
Posted 10/15/2008 at 01:13:23 PMHow bout a Scanners game? Start with guns and then move onto mind powers. It's a 3rd person action game with ultra violence.
Maybe a Existenz The Movie, The Game is also called for. Constantly switch back and forth between real life and video game life, within the video game?
They should do another Evil Dead inspired game and then have Herbert West from Re Animator be the bad guy (like in the Army Of Darkness VS Re-Animator crossover comic). Maybe a Puppet Master real time strategy or squad combat game?
And its not really horror, but the original concept of stephen kings the running man would make for a great sandbox style game, where you allude the police and hunters, while staying underground and reporting in daily.
