It seems that the dead have risen, and... uh... cocks have fallen. Sorry, there's just no way to write this post without cock jokes. I'm contractually obligated to put them in there for Chris Ward anyway. But on to the actual news! After being unceremoniously dumped by Activision after its merger with Vivendi, Kotaku is reporting that the Ghostbusters game has been picked up by Atari. Seems Dan Aykroyd himself spilled the news on a Dallas radio station. Atari hasn't confirmed, but who's gonna call Aykroyd a liar? Not me!
While Ghostbusters has found new life, the Gamecock media group isn't as lucky. The young publisher has folded, selling off its remaining titles to SouthPeak Interactive. Aside from giving me an excuse to make dick jokes, I see this as good news all around. SouthPeak gets a bunch of promising games, and an annoying group of douchebags are out of jobs.
